GREEN LAND SENIOR SECONDARY PUBLIC SCHOOL ORGANIZES INTER HOUSE ONE ACT PLAY COMPETITION DURING AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV WEEK

Pre Independence Day celebrations during Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav week continued at Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School with great jubilation. On the day an inter-house one act play competition on the theme 'Nation First, Always First' was organized in which the students of class IX- Xll participated with great patriotic fervor. The students of each house showcased their artistic talent through their impressive exhibition of dialogues, acting and dance. The whole audience got mesmerized with their enthusiastic performances. On the occasion the Chairman of Chain of Green Land Schools Dr. Rajesh Rudhra said that it is our privilege to be born in a free country as we are able to breathe fresh air, speak our thoughts and live a harmonious life. Always feel proud in being an Indian because we have a glorious past and promising future. The Principal of the school Ms Baldeep Pandher applauded the efforts of all the participants . She also told them that we owe this freedom from all the defence forces who stand at the border tirelessly to safeguard us day and night. Adding to this she told the students that we belong to the nation where Liberty is hard earned,so always work for the upliftment of the nation.

CHAIN OF GREEN LAND SCHOOLS LUDHIANA CELEBRATES 75TH GLORIOUS YEAR OF INDEPENDENCE DAY

Keeping the spirit of patriotism alive , the Chain of Green Land Schools Ldh, celebrated 75th Anniversary of Independence of India with much gaiety and alacrity in Sh. Ram Labhaya Rudhra Auditorium at Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School, Ludhiana. The students dressed up in hues of Tricolour spread about the message of peace and harmony which is the need of the hour.The event started with a flag hoisting ceremony by the Chairman of the school Dr. Rajesh Rudhra along with General Secretary Mrs. Usha Rudhra, Dr. Shabad Rudhra President , Director Dr. Vijayata Rudhra, Dr. Shivangi Rudhra and Principals of the Chain of Green Land Schools Mrs. Baldeep Pandher, Mrs. Vinita Sanan, Mrs. Jyoti Pujara, Mrs. Ritu , Ms.Geetika and the staff , where everyone stood tall to salute the tricolour and felt proud to sing the national anthem, this was followed by parade led by NCC cadets of school. The program centered around arousing a sense of responsibility amongst our young generation towards the hard-earned freedom, and not consider Independence Day as another holiday from school. The students brought the stage alive with their passion and love for their motherland through patriotic songs and dances. In play 'Our soldiers our pride' students bowed in allegiance to the brave freedom fighters and soldiers who laid their lives for the motherland. As customary, the staff and students collectively underwent an oath to safeguard their nation under all circumstances. The school resounded with the slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai.’ Congratulating each Indian on the occasion, the Chairman of the Chain of Green Land Schools, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra said that it is our privilege to be born in free India as we are witnessing our tricolor flag waving free in the air, which our freedom fighters had dreamt for. Imparting the students the knowledge about the brief life history of freedom fighters like S. Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Lala Lajpat Rai,Chander Shekhar Azad, Bal Gangadhar Tilak he told the students that it the duty of every Indian specially youth to safeguard their country as millions have sacrificed their lives to earn this independence. Citing the names of 5 disloyal and corrupt people who became the reason for the ruin of the country, he told the students to be beware of such traitors as they can bring disgrace to the country. He also said that we all should be aware of our fundamental duties before knowing our fundamental rights.Adding to this he said that all should hoist Indian flag on their house as this country belongs to them and they belong to the country. The Principal of the school Mrs. Baldeep Pandher told the students to be the harbingers of peace and harmony. She impressed upon spreading love and brotherhood everywhere. She asked the students to be the change that they want to see in the society. The celebrations ended with the National Anthem.
